Finding Worship
We invite you to either worship or learn more about our beliefs by visiting some of the great outlets of worship. Let us recommend checking out your local InterVarsity Christian Fellowship chapter, local church group for those around your age, or similar groups.
If you are in the Potsdam, NY area, you have many contemporary, non-denominational (neutral in terms of denominations) places where you can find more information or join in worship:
- InterVarsity Christian Fellowship – Meets every week, alternating between Clarkson University (Graham Cafeteria) and SUNY Potsdam (Fireside Lounge, Student Center). Live worship band plays contemporary Christian music and projects lyrics, inviting attendees to sing along if they want. Guest speakers share and teach. Comfortable atmosphere to meet others and to learn and grow, even if Sunday morning church services aren’t exactly your thing.
- Christian Fellowship Center – Every Sunday at 10:30am. Great contemporary, non-denominational church service. Live worship band plays contemporary Christian worship music. Many activities and groups. Active and lively.
- College Life Center @ 57 Market Street / LIFE Group – A ministry of Christian Fellowship Center, 57 Market Street hosts several small group meetings as well as LIFE Group every Sunday night at 6pm. LIFE Group is a comfortable atmosphere to learn and grow in, and contains both teaching and contemporary worship music. Whether or not Sunday morning church services are your thing, be sure to check out LIFE Group.
In addition to these non-denominational options, there are a large number of denominational churches in the area to choose from as well. If you’re looking for a church you’re used to or that reminds you of home, a great place to start is in a local phone book. You may also want to check out IVCF’s Local Churches directory.

- Breakfast Devotionals @ Clarkson University – Come have breakfast and start your day off right. Begin the day focused on the One who really counts! They meet Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10 am, and Wednesday and Friday at 9 am. You don’t have to stay the entire time, and if you have class at 9 am Tuesdays and Thursdays feel free to come late. Look at the website for more information about the meeting place and schedule updates.
